We celebrated Mardi Gras this weekend, complete with Jambalaya and King Cake. We also read about the origins and traditions of Mardi Gras....which none of us really knew. Interesting.
Apparently, every Mardi Gras needs a king. So, we crowned our own. The tradition is this...make a king cake and place a tiny baby figurine in the cake. The one who finds the baby in the cake gets crowned King for the whole year. So, Mickey is our king for 2012.....like that will be a big change for us!
He promises to be a benevolent dictator....so, maybe that will be a change.
